Woks and Koi Restaurant review!
Located at Lekki Phase 1, Woks and Koi is a Chinese restaurant with a delightful menu. I’ve had this restaurant on my wish-list for a while and finally decided to give it a trial on an anniversary dinner with Leboo. Let’s get into the review now, shall we🙃?
Aesthetics and Ambience: Woks & Koi has very contemporary aesthetics, basically modern Chinese. I think the view is best seen at evenings and can be quite romantic. However this was a bit disappointing for me because I would have preferred a more cultural look and feel. I basically wanted to see and explore the Chinese culture but I didn’t get this at Woks and Koi. It’s perfect if you prefer a modern look and feel rather than a cultural ambience.
The Drinks: Super! Lol, this was legit the first word that came into my head, honestly it’s been a long while since I just had mocktails but Woks and Koi delivered well, their Virgin Mai Tai and Woks and Koi Twister is a go to drink any day anytime. It has just the right amount of mix from Pineapple juice to ginger beer to lime to oranges. It was refreshing and soft!
The Food: On this, they deserve an A*. I had their Singapore noodles which was mouth watering, it had the perfect mix of chicken, shrimp and beef. Just delectable. My partner in crime had their Duck in Spicy sauce and Fried rice and Eggs, and all I can say is that it was luscious and every spoon stolen was worth it for me 😁.
I had a good time at Woks & Koi, the waiters were nice and professional but I think they shouldn’t just loiter but rather walk around in intervals to attend to requests if need be. Felt less private with waiters at every corner waiting. I would definitely order their food and pickup when craving Chinese, not sure I’ll do another sit in yet (you never know, might change my mind).
Overall, I’ll give them a 7.5 out of 10.
